McD’s testing 1/4lb Chicken Burger

McDonald's is testing customer reaction to a healthier burger—a quarter-pounder made from ground chicken—in the U.S.
McDonald’s Corp. is test-marketing a new offering to its menu in 202 restaurants in the Tampa Bay, Florida-area.
On September 14, 2015, McDonald’s debuted a ground quarter-pounder chicken burger patty made from breast and thigh meat available in two options:
- Classic: red onions, tomatoes, lettuce, ranch sauce on a potato bun;
- Signature: grilled onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and something it calls a sweet ‘signature’ sauce on a potato.
