Accident releases live pigs in Burlington, Ont.

Pigs were on the loose in Burlington, Ont. early Wednesday, October 5, 2016, after the truck carrying them to a slaughterhouse overturned.

While most of the pigs were trapped in the vehicle, a few pigs did manage to escape, with emergency personnel helping to find and move the animals back to the area around the overturned truck.

Sadly, a news report from October 6, 2016 suggests that over 40 pigs died as a result of the traffic accident.
