Concept of Cloud robotics is at the heart of Google’s progress in teaching robots how to learn new tasks.

Whether the concept of robots teaching other robots how to perform tasks is the first step towards the doomsday Skynet scenario of movie Terminator fame, Google—yes, that Google—is  making excellent progress with its “cloud robotics” method. Let’s just say it has potential.

Essentially, the learned robot transmits information over a network, and the student becomes the teacher. Okay, that’s the dumbed down version, but Google’s cloud robotics works, helping robots learn new tasks quickly without the necessity of new programming or software being inputted by a human.

As you can see from the image above, the learning robots are beginning to get a handle on things.
