Rod Lowe, President of L. Rowe Beef, doesn’t mince words.

“I’ve been a loyal Reiser customer for 14 years.”

When the pandemic hit, it turned his meat business upside down.

“Overnight I had to pivot from restaurant, banquet hall and golf course sales to direct to consumer and e-commerce sales.”

I bought 13 machines for over $1.5 million – all from Reiser Canada.

Watch in the video as Reiser sales representative Terry Rees takes us from the Sydelmann grinding machinery to the Vemag finishing and portioning system that forms precise portions from 140-280 grams.

Says Lowe, “Every single #%&! piece is perfect!”

We then move on to a Repak thermoform machine that forms perfect packages over these meat portions delivering 10-12 days “fresh” shelf life. “The Repak is all computerized, stores 99 recipes for us and is so easy to use.”

“My favourite machine, though, is our new Variovac EasySkin machine,” continues Rowe. Watch in the video how the need for food trays is eliminated as 16 ml film is formed on the machine to make the trays. Then a skin-tight layer of film is laid on top to make “the sexiest package” in the business.

“The package looks absolutely amazing, and I get up to 28 days of fresh shelf life.”

“What I like best about Reiser is that if anything goes down in my plant, I make one call…and it’s fixed. Reiser is the best in the business.”
