Coca-Cola Canada launches vitaminwater active and POWERADE ZERO

Coca-Cola Canada has introduced two new sub-brands for its popular “activity” beverages—vitaminwater active and POWERADE ZERO.
“(The year) 2018 has already been a great year for product innovation and we’re excited to be building on that momentum with vitaminwater active and POWERADE ZERO,” says Coca-Cola Ltd. vice-president of marketing Michael Samoszewski. “Canadians are increasingly looking for great tasting drinks with natural, functional ingredients and we are very excited to have these two great, new products in our portfolio.”

vitaminwater active is being plugged by Coca-Cola as a beverage for those with an attitude towards health and wellness. It features all-natural colors and flavors and is sweetened with cane sugar with 100 calories per 450 mL bottle.
As well, the drink offers a source of antioxidant vitamins C and E, is enhanced with three B vitamins, contains 10 percent coconut water, and uses sea salt as a naturally-sourced electrolyte.
The new line of vitaminwater active is available in Strawberry Black Cherry, Orange Mango and Lemon Lime, only in 450 mL bottles.
POWERADE ZERO
For the modern athlete looking for peak performance, Coca-Cola touts POWERADE ZERO, the only ready-to-drink hydrating beverage in Canada that offers zero grams of sugar, natural flavors and colors and antioxidant vitamins C and E.
The beverage contains an advanced electrolyte system and a unique formula designed to meet the needs of Canadian athletes.
