Canadian Senate says Canada Food Guide needs serious overhaul

General Canada's Food Guide Obesity in Canadians

The senate report urges revisions to the guide to fight against obesity in Canadians.

According to a Toronto Star newspaper report published on March 1, 2016, Canada’s Food Guide needs an urgent overhaul to better represent current scientific evidence—including strong statements about restricting the consumption of highly-processed foods to prevent obesity.
