Linden Grain Medium for safe, reliable media fill simulations from EMD Millipore.

Cambridge, MA—EMD Millipore’s Linden Grain Medium for media fill simulations of low-acid aseptic beverage bottling and ice-crusher installations provides a high quality alternative to traditional powered media.

The granulated, ready-mixed Linden Grain Medium ensures excellent solubility, no component separation or clumping and minimized dust formation.

A key advantage of the granulated format compared to powdered formulations is that it limits the spread of media components that may be hazardous or lead to allergic reactions if inhaled.

This is especially important due to the quantity of media needed for media fill tests; powdered formats can generate a large amount of undesired dust in the aseptic production environment.

With a ready-mixed formulation, there is no need to source, buy, mix and quality control individual raw materials which can result in significant time and cost savings, especially when preparing large volumes.

The medium is available in 5kg and cost-saving 25kg sizes and meets the highest performance standards in production and QC as described in EN ISO 11133:2014.

Coca-Cola HBC AG, one of the world’s largest soft drinks bottlers, with operations in 28 countries, successfully applies Linden Grain Medium in its aseptic operations.

To complement the Linden Grain Medium, EMD Millipore offers a broad range of microbial air sampling and particle counting instruments and culture media in different formats for environmental monitoring.
