“Our customers can do things they’ve never been able to do before”

Adam Pauwels, VP Sales Corrugated Division Ontario of Atlantic Packaging, relates how the company’s investment in high-speed single-pass digital printing technology has allowed their customers to get their products to market faster and in better quality printed corrugate than ever before. “In fact,” he emphasizes, “if we have your file, we can be printing 5 minutes later. We have filled a gap that the market was not satisfying for customers until now.”

In the Atlantic Packaging Tiffield Rd, Scarborough plant, Digital Print Manager Anthony Memme takes us on a journey from the board loading station to the priming and printing stations and to delivery of the final product on the company’s brand-new Durst/Koenig & Bauer single pass digital press. “This is probably the most efficient way of printing on corrugate,” he tells us from the Command Centre as he demonstrates the press operating at speeds of 90 meters per minute and with a print resolution of 800 dots per inch.

Atlantic’s Andrew Tucker, VP Specialty Group, relates the story of how Atlantic was able to help nutrition bar leader and innovator Riverside Natural Foods bring a new product to market within an urgent time frame. Tucker concludes, “If you want to be fast and nimble and achieve exciting things with your brand, then Atlantic Packaging is the place for you.”
