Revl Fruits Squeezes into Innovation: Pioneering Shelf-Stable Juices in Tetra Pak Cartons

Launched in Dec. 2023, Revl Fruits™ is a new premium juice brand from the makers of Ocean Spray Cranberries. The brand was designed to fill the “joy gap” in the premium juice market with a product that is joyful, bright, made from 100 per cent juice and designed with the planet in mind.

In an effort to move away from virgin plastic or replicate the glass bottles often seen in the premium juice market, Revl Fruits™ tapped Tetra Pak to collaborate on a sustainable packaging solution that could boldly capture the attention of the shopper and indicate its flavor-bursting taste. Revl Fruits™ became one of the only shelf-stable juices to use a Tetra Brik® Aseptic Edge. The packaging is more than 70 per cent plant-based, and the cap is made from bioplastic sourced from sugarcane plants. Additionally, the Tetra Pak cartons are easier to store and ship than glass-bottle alternatives and provide a resealable and shelf-stable option for juice consumers, leading to less food waste.

Tetra Pak’s established pipeline for sustainability innovation meant that Tetra Pak was able to help Revl Fruits™ with marketing, consumer insights and design technologies to accelerate the concept work and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the innovation process. Now available on Amazon, select Save Mart, Gelson’s Market, and Heinen’s locations, Revl Fruits™ will be rolling out to Target, Kroger and Publix this spring.
