Menasha Invests in Cutting-Edge Future: Acquires Highcon Digital Die-Cutting Systems

By Highcon Headquarters

Highcon and Menasha have signed a LOI reflecting their intent to partner on the integration of new Highcon systems over the next 24 months

Yavne, Israel, Dec. 12 2023 — Highcon today announced that Menasha Packaging Company LLC (Menasha) has purchased two Highcon Beam 2 digital die-cutting systems for installation at one of their North American packaging facilities. Menasha is a part of Menasha Corporation, a multi-billion dollar enterprise established over 170 years ago, with approximately 7,000 employees and 100 facilities across North America and Europe.

Menasha Packaging helps its customers to protect, move and promote their products, producing folding carton packaging, corrugated packaging, and display merchandising solutions for over 2,500 global brands. Menasha also operates a North American network of fulfillment centres, helping their customers distribute their product across all channels, both in-store and online.

This is a landmark deal for Highcon following extensive due diligence by Menasha, and close collaboration with Highcon’s U.S.-based go-to-market team, as well as Highcon’s agent, Sun Automation. It’s the first occasion in which a customer has acquired two Highcon Beam systems in a single transaction for installation at a single site. The deal marks Highcon’s best-ever year for the sale of Highcon Beam 2 systems for folding carton applications, a critical pillar in the company’s strategy going into a drupa year.

“I am excited about Menasha’s focus on modernizing their network and their intent to build a more strategic relationship with Highcon with these efforts. We hope the end result is multiple Highcon systems being installed across Menasha’s production facilities” said Shlomo Nimrodi, Highcon’s CEO. “Our partnership with Menasha is recognition once again of the important role that Highcon can play in the evolving and growing paperboard packaging market. I am very proud.”

About Highcon

Highcon develops, markets, sells and supports a portfolio of digital cutting and creasing systems that cover a wide range of formats, substrates and applications. The Highcon technology is transforming the industry, by providing cost-effective solutions to the increasing manufacturing inefficiencies facing folding carton and corrugated carton manufacturers as the result of the emerging market trends of e-commerce, shorter time to market, lower job sizes and a drive to sustainability. Such requirements cannot be accommodated by the expensive and slow conventional die-making and setup process. The Highcon digital technology bridges the gap between agile production and design flexibility, delivering improved responsiveness, JIT production, short runs, customization of structure and design, and the ability to perform a wide range of applications in-house. Highcon products are installed at customer sites around the world, including some multinational companies, effectively supporting the needs of global and local brands. Highcon is publicly traded in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (HICN), and its leading investors are Landa Ventures owned by Benny Landa and JVP led by Erel Margalit. For more details: www.highcon.net.
