Folding bottle wins two awards

GeneralInnovation awards garnered by SIG Combibloc for its combidome carton bottle.
Combidome, the carton bottle from SIG Combibloc, has won a pair of innovation awards: the Beverage Innovation Award at drinktec, and the German Packaging Award (Deutscher Verpackungspreis).

Since 2003, the renowned Beverage Innovation Award has been awarded annually by FoodBev.com in cooperation with UNESDA (Union of European Soft Drinks Association) and wafg (Wirtschaftvereinigung Alkoholfreie Getränke e.V. – Germany’s trade association for non-alcoholic beverages). This year, 370 applications were submitted by manufacturers and suppliers in the beverage and liquid food industry from 40 countries.

In the ‘Best Sales Packaging: Beverages’ category, combidome has won the German Packaging Award. For 50 years now, the best and most innovative developments in the packaging industry have been recognized with the coveted prize. Under the auspices of Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, an independent jury of experts from business, research, teaching and the specialist press chooses prize-winners in six categories.
