Multivac Canada appoints new HPP product specialist

Used to being under pressure, Sadia Seemeen to work as new high pressure processing product specialist.

Brampton, ON—Multivac Canada Inc., has announced the appointment of  Sadia Seemeen to the position of HPP (High-Pressure Processing) Product Specialist.

Seemeen has a background in Biotechnologic Engineering and post-graduate qualifications in Food Technology. Her masters research was primarily focused on HPP at Massey University in New Zealand.

Seemeen worked as a process improvement technologist at a leading poultry company in New Zealand, where she was project manager for HPP and assisted in the commercialization of this technology leading to development of a unique ‘clean label’ product and increased export sales in the company.

She was also employed by the New Zealand Food Innovation Network where she developed and tested a variety of concept products for several clients as a consultant food technologist and assisted in their up scaling, as well as obtaining regulatory approval.

She has worked in the area of HPP for the last four years, researching and developing products from concept to commercialization, while also presenting and publishing her research in international conferences in Europe and New Zealand.
