MULTIVAC Canada Inc. announces new Executive Team appointment

Other new appointments include a new addition to its Canadian key accounts team, and one to its western Canada sales team.

BRAMPTON, ON—MULTIVAC Canada Inc. has added two key components to its sales force plus a key appointment to its national executive team.

Evan Segalowitz (image above)has been appointed as vice-president of sales and operations to Multivac Canada, joining the company earlier this month.

Seglowitz has 15 years of experience in the food industry and capital equipment industry, previously holding the positions of: director of retail sales, Canada at Canada Bread; director of National foodservice distributor sales, Canada, at Canada Bread Frozen Bakery/Olivieri Foods; and business development manager for foodservice at Maple Leaf Foods. Most recently, Evan held the role of General Manager of Markem-Imaje (a Dover Company).

Multivac Canada president and managing director Nestor Plawiuk comments on the hire: “This valuable industry experience along with his business degree from the Richard Ivey Business School at Western University, serves MULTIVAC Canada and its customers very well.

Western Canada Sales Appointment

As well, MULTIVAC Canada has added Darren Smit as regional sales manager for Western Canada, including Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

He is uniquely qualified for the role with over 20 years experience in the packaging industry and his extensive sales-focused experience.

Multivac director of sales Paul Marsden says, ”With his extensive background in the packaging industry and his personal knowledge of the market in Western Canada, we are excited at the prospect of focused expansion of MULTIVAC in the West”.

Key Account Sales Appointment
MULTIVAC Canada also announced an addition to its sales team, with the appointment of Ken Poxon as key accounts manager.

Poxon’s focus will be on the key accounts with MULTIVAC Canada Inc., with national responsibilities of providing support to various client locations across Canada.

With over 20 years experience in the packaging industry, Poxon’s most recent position was as the territory manager for Marel. Coupled with previous experience at MULTIVAC, Poxon is very qualified for his new role.

“With his extensive background in the packaging industry and his previous knowledge of MULTIVAC Canada’s market, we are excited at the prospect of specialized attention on our key accounts,” says Marsden.  “We are very pleased to welcome Ken back to the MULTIVAC Canada team.”
