Fernandez’s extensive career with the Company includes a variety of leadership roles spanning brands, geographies and channels. Fernandez was named President, EMEA in 2008 upon the creation of the role, and he has since demonstrated outstanding commitment to growing the region’s profitability, evolving the regional business model and developing local talent. Under his leadership, the region has achieved consistent growth ahead of the industry, ultimately becoming one of the Company’s fastest-growing regions today. His numerous contributions to the Company throughout his tenure have been both far-reaching and instrumental to the Company’s continued growth and expansion across brands and markets.
Peter Jueptner appointed president, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
As executive vice-president, Strategy, New Business Development and Transformation Initiatives, Peter Jueptner is uniquely qualified to expand upon Ivan Fernandez’s successful leadership of EMEA. Since 2009, Jueptner has worked alongside Fabrizio Freda in the development and execution of the Company’s strategy, which has delivered record results including consistent top-line growth ahead of the prestige beauty industry. Additionally, he has played a key role in continuing to strengthen and expand the Company’s portfolio, overseeing six acquisitions since 2010, including Smashbox. As the leader of the Company’s strategic initiatives, Jueptner has been at the forefront of industry insights, trends and the biggest opportunities critical to the long-term growth of the Company. His solid leadership capabilities, coupled with his brand, retail and operational expertise, make him ideally suited to further develop the Company’s strong position in EMEA. A successor for Jueptner’s current role will be announced soon.
Stephane de la Faverie appointed Global Brand President, Estée Lauder
With a proven track record of building and leading global brands, deep expertise across categories and channels, and a keen understanding of local relevance, Stephane de la Faverie is the ideal leader to strengthen the Company’s namesake brand for its next stage of growth.

Prior to this, de la Faverie played a leadership role on the Company’s fragrance portfolio as Senior Vice President/Global General Manager, Aramis and Designer Fragrances. This appointment builds upon the successful leadership of the Estée Lauder brand by Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Group President, and will further enable her to focus on the strategic direction of her brand portfolio and her other significant leadership responsibilities. A successor for de la Faverie’s current role will be announced soon.
