General Alcoa Cognex Cortegra Group Dow Chemical Georgia-Pacific Heidelberg Michelman Pamarco Global Graphics Plasport Schneider Electric Thin Metal Parts Unisource WorldwidePlasport, Traverse City, Mich.-based Plascon division specializing in the manufacture of form-fit liners used in FIBCs (flexible intermediate bulk containers), as well as other specialty liners and pallet covers, has appointed Steve Duchon as president and partner.
The Dow Chemical Company, Houston, Tex.-headquartered industrial plastics and chemicals group, has appointed Glenn Wright as commercial vice-president of basic plastics for North America.
The supervisory board of German printing press technologies manufacturer Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG has announced the reorganization of the company’s management board with the addition of Stephan Plenz—responsible for overseeing the company’s global research-and-development, production and purchasing activities—as well as transferring the responsibilities for acquisitions, communications and compliance to the chairman of the management board Bernhard Schreier.
Cincinnati, Ohio-headquartered industrial coatings and chemicals group Michelman has announced several senior management appointments, including the promotion of Luc Vanderstappen to European business manager for chemical specialties; the appointment of David Williams as senior account manager for Europe, responsible for servicing all U.K. flexible packaging and chemical specialties accounts; the appointment of Yves De Smet as global marketing manager for the fibers and composites business; and the hiring of Linus Yoong as new business development manager for Asia, to be based at the company’s Singapore office.
