  • H.B. Fuller Company has announced it has signed an agreement to purchase Advanced Adhesives, a provider of industrial adhesives in Australia and New Zealand. With fiscal 2015 net revenue of US$17 million, this business will be included in H.B. Fuller’s Asia Pacific operating segment. Established in 1985, Advanced Adhesives will enable H.B. Fuller to strengthen its industrial adhesives market position and leverage a broader technology portfolio in both Australia and New Zealand.
  • Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL)—the largest home-grown home and personal care company in India—has entered into an agreement to acquire the U.S.-based Strength of Nature LLC (SON), a leading company of hair care products for women of African descent.
  • Tetra Pak has acquired Laude, a market leader in the design, development, and manufacture of plastic moulds used in hard and semi-hard cheese production. The acquisition will strengthen the company’s position as the world’s leading provider of complete solutions for cheese manufacturing, and will extend the availability of Laude products in the global market. Laude will form part of Tetra Pak Cheese and Powder Systems.
  • Transilwrap Company, Inc., a value-added manufacturer, converter and distributor of specialty film products used in healthcare, packaging, point-of purchase, display advertising, security identification, protective and industrial markets, has signed a letter of intent to acquire The Dow Chemical Company‘s global Specialty Films business. The Dow segment has over 50 years of expertise in providing film solutions used in medical, packaging and industrial markets and specializes in the production of blown oriented polystyrene films and co-extruded multilayer barrier and polyolefin films for global customers, through manufacturing facilities in Hebron, Ohio and Drusenheim, France. In packaging and industrial segments, Specialty Films enjoys strong brand recognition with SARANEXT barrier films, PROCITET films and OPTICITET films across many applications including beverage closure liners, ostomy appliances, window envelope films, labels and protective fabrics.
  • AR Packaging Group AB of Lund Sweden, and Izmir, Turkey’s Egem Ambalaj Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S, have formed a strategic partnership to establish cooperation in the manufacture, purchasing, sale and marketing in Turkey of packaging made out of cardboard or other materials.
