Norampac Wins Innovation Prize For Its NorShield Box

Norampac–specialists in corrugated packaging solutions–was rewarded for its NorShield waxless box, this time during the 19th edition of the Innovation gala of the Quebec Association of Industrial Research that took place in Montreal on November 26, 2009.
During this award ceremony, the waxless NorShield box won the Green Innovation prize, due to its innovative characteristics in sustainable development and to its positive impact on the environment. Furthermore, this prize recognized the fact that the NorShield box represents an innovative alternative to the traditional waxed box, since it is recyclable and made from recycled fibre.
The win was the second this year for Norampac’s NorShield waxless box, as it also took home a gold in the sustainable packaging category at the PAC (Packaging Association of Canada) Leadership Awards held on April 22, 2009 in Toronto.
Norampac, a division of Cascades Canada Inc. is one of Canada’s top manufacturers of linerboard and corrugated medium, and a North American leader of corrugated production.
