VANCOUVER—Premium Brands Holding Corp. of Vancouver has acquired Montreal-based C&C Packing Inc. and its affiliate, Premium Meat Packers for $146 million.

C&C supplies fresh and frozen meat products to retailers and foodservice distributors across central and eastern Canada.

“C&C perfectly complements our protein distribution and trading initiatives in western Canada and, with its strong and experienced management team and state-of-the-art facilities, will enable us to create a unique national platform in another niche market segment,” states Premium Brands president and chief executive officer George Paleologou via a press release.

Premium Brands produces, markets and distributes branded specialty food products. In 2015, it purchased Isernio’s Inc., who produce a popular Pacific northwest brand of premium fresh sausage.
