Small footprint Thermoform machine cuts packaging costs by 80 per cent for artisanal meat company

Seed to Sausage owner Mike McKenzie produces hand crafted meats in idyllic Sharbot Lake, ON. He supplies high-end restaurants and food service companies with these principals in mind: Local — Ethical — Humble.

Mike explains that packaging is crucial to protecting his great products and good name… it can also be a bottleneck.

See in this video how he relies on a small footprint Reiser Variovac Optimus to seal in the freshness and quality of his prized meats in his 4,000 square foot facility.

“The Reiser Optimus packages in 2 hours what used to take over half a day,” explains Packaging Supervisor Nancy Teal. “And the Reiser service is great even though we’re a relatively small operation in a rural location.”

Watch Mike and Nancy put the machine through its paces with flawless performance and with easy HMI recipe storage and selection.
