“We’re for everyone – 5,000 to 5,000,000 cartons”

In this video, take a tour of the freshly commissioned Cobourg, Ont. Beneco Packaging folding-carton plant boasting the highest technological investment in the market, including two Heidelberg CX Speedmaster printing presses.

Jim Wickware, Beneco Director of Sales, discusses the company’s commitment to high-quality operational and health and safety standards though the lauded IFS PACsecure program, as well the new ecovadis diversity, sustainability and environmental initiatives program for which the company has just achieved the “gold standard.”

Production Manager Shyam Sasidhram demonstrates the efficacy of the two Speedmaster presses, with the latest CX 106 achieving outputs of 18,000 sheets per hour. Everything is supported by state-of-the-art ESKO software programs that help ensure lightening-quick, on-press, make-ready, and changeover times. “We have room for three more presses in this plant.”

Heidelberg Senior Account Manager Steve Thomson relates: “Pound for pound, Beneco’s two Speedmaster presses are the highest outputting machines that we measure worldwide.” He adds that the investment in technology ensures Beneco CPG customers will have the highest level of colour consistency on the retail shelf for their product’s packaging.

Beneco’s Wickware also discusses the SoOPAK division of Beneco and its online program for start-ups to design and order cartons for less-than-two-week turnaround for orders of 1,000, 2,000, and 5,000 cartons.

“We’re truly for everyone … from startups to the largest multinationals with the most demanding specifications.”
