APP’s Ian Lifshitz named by Environmental Leader & Energy Manager Today as honoree to 2019 E + E 100

Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) and Quad will lead a panel on “Shaping a Sustainability Story for Food Brands” at the Environmental Leader & Energy Manager Conference (ELEMCON) on May 12 through May 14 in Denver.

Ian Lifshitz, Vice President of Sustainability & Stakeholder Relations, Asia Pulp & Paper, and Paul Nowak, Vice President of Enterprise Solutions, Quad, will host a discussion panel on May 14 to address the rising consumer demand for food packaging that is both functional and sustainable, as well as how restaurant brands can shape and share their sustainability stories.

According to data from Asia Pulp & Paper’s Paper & Packaging Consumer Trends Report, 71 per cent of Canadians say that the sustainability of food packaging is more important to them today than five years ago. Additionally, consumers acknowledge they are willing to pay more for fast food products packaged in sustainable materials. The panel will cover this growing consumer trend and guide brands in developing and fostering a sustainable supply chain, as well as how to communicate company sustainability commitments and goals with consumers.

Ahead of the conference, Ian Lifshitz has been named an honoree to The E + E 100 for bringing positive change to the environmental and energy management space.

The E + E 100 is an annual program developed and run by Environmental Leader and Energy Manager Today recognizing leaders, innovators, shaker-uppers and doers in the environmental and energy management space. Honorees are nominated by peers and selected based on their impact on the industry or the company in which they work.

Register now to attend ELEMCON and join this important discussion and meet the honorees of the E + E 100 Award.
