Hangry Chicken has spent four years perfecting their special sauces
BURLINGTON, ON (November, 2020) – Sauces and condiments can make or break a dish.
The flavour balance has to be just right, and it has to pair well with the food it is coating. Conflicting tastes can muddle the experience. A sauce can be too much, overpowering the meal or drowning it on the plate. Or it can be not enough, leaving the diner wanting more.
Over the past four years, the folks at Hangry Chicken — a new Portguese Piri Piri Chicken restaurant — have been working hard to perfect their special sauces. From the poutine topped with Piri Piri mayo, the Chicken Sandwich smothered in Piri Piri Hot Honey Sauce, or the traditional chicken covered in the creamy Piri Piri sauce available in three levels of spice — Flocking Hot, Plucking Medium and Pecking Mild — Hangry Chicken has a sauce for everyone.
“Our sauces were created to maximize flavour, add juiciness and make great quality food that is unforgettable,” says David White, Director of Operations for Hangry Chicken. “Our creamy Piri Piri sauces were not only painstakingly crafted to please all taste buds, but they are a delicious addition to a variety of meals, and not just covering a perfectly roasted chicken.”
Each of Hangry Chicken’s delicious sauces is available for purchase separate from being included in a meal.
Sauce aside, Hangry Chicken proudly serves all-fresh, never frozen, locally and ethically sourced ingredients. The chicken, which has no antibiotics, is marinated for 12 hours and cooked on rotisserie, ensuring the same consistency every time.
“Our fresh ingredients and carefully crafted sauces keep customers coming back,” says White. “We’re committed to providing our customers with quality dishes with big taste.”
Despite COVID-19 and uncertainty for the hospitality industry, Hangry Chicken recently opened a new location in Stoney Creek, just off the Fifty Road exit on the QEW.
