Loma’s Cutting-Edge Metal-Detection, X-ray-Inspection Tech Takes the Stage at INTERPHEX

By Marbles PR

Loma Systems, a global leader in inspection technologies for the food, packaging and pharmaceutical industries, will showcase its latest inspection technologies at INTERPHEX on April 16-18, 2024 at the Javits Center, New York. Visit Loma at booth #1318D.

At the show, Loma representatives will be welcoming visitors to their booth and presenting a wide range of top-of-the-line detection systems and software data-capture capabilities. These have been specifically designed to help pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturers maintain production efficiencies and comply with regulations, all the while increasing their quality-control output.

Loma will be displaying their LOCK-PH, which can inspect up to 30,000 tablets or capsules per minute. The LOCK-PH offers calibrated detection levels from 0.25 mm FE, 0.3 mm NFE, 0.4 mm St/St, ensuring that even the smallest fragments of metal are detected and removed every time. In addition, Loma’s IQ4 BottleChek Metal Detector Conveyor will also be on display. This machine is designed to inspect pharmaceutical bottles, vials or tubs at the end of the production line, detecting any unwanted metallic particles. The BottleChek Metal Detector Conveyor can easily integrate into any production line for side-by-side transfers.

For comprehensive contaminant detection, Loma’s X5C Compact X-ray system will also be exhibited. The X5C Compact delivers unmatched versatility, detecting various contaminants including metals (stainless steel, ferrous, and non-ferrous), calcified bone, glass, or dense plastics, and conducting essential product integrity tests such as missing items, object checking and fill-level assessments. Incorporating a small footprint and being particularly good at inspecting products packaged in foil or heavy metallized film packaging, the X5C eliminates challenges associated with ferrous detection in foil, making it an ideal entry point for manufacturers venturing into X-ray technology.

Alice Maniev, Loma’s North America Marketing Communications Manager, said: “INTERPHEX provides an invaluable platform for us to engage with the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical community, sharing our latest innovations and expertise in product safety and quality solutions. We very much look forward to demonstrating the impact of our inspection and detection solutions tailored to this sector.”
