Packaging machinery supplier ready to showcase new innovations at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2013.
DECATUR, GEORGIA—Kliklok-Woodman has announced its packaging machinery lineup for Pack Expo Las Vegas 2013 being held September 23 – 25, 2013.
This year’s lineup in Booth C-1703 showcases Kiliklok-Woodman’s newest innovations: the Enterprise mid-range endload cartoner, paired with the CLS120 Cascade Loading System, the new Eco Sleever—a low-cost sleeving machine—and the new Apache CM, the company’s universal bagmaker now with full continuous motion.
Kliklok-Woodman’s new 200-cpm endload cartoner, the Enterprise (see image above), was designed from the ground up with centerlining capabilities to help end users achieve predictable and consistent OEE performance. Its fast- assembly modular design allows multiple infeed options, including adjustable article buckets and an overhead confiner for bag-in-box applications. The IP-65-rated Enterprise features Kliklok’s servo-profiled rotary carton feeder, a barrel-cam inserter and KW’s Insight touch screen HMI.
The CLS120 Cascade Loading System is an independent product handling unit featuring fully adjustable three-stage vertical rotor vanes that provide collation, stacking and transfer of bags, sachets, ready meals and pizzas. Multiple units can be integrated to meet high speed line requirements. The product timing system consists of three stage rotary drop stations, which align the incoming product timing to the position of the output device, most commonly a moving cartoner PIC pocket.
The Eco Sleever offers ecologically friendly and economical packaging as an endload cartoner solution to one’s sustainability goals. It slides trays of frozen/refrigerated foods and other products into open-ended sleeves rather than fully sealed six-sided cartons. Sleeves used on the Eco Sleever are ecologically friendly and economical. Removing the end flaps reduces the paperboard needed, and designing smaller sleeve further reduces the paperboard costs.
The Eco Sleever is already a low-power machine (only 16 amps at 240 V — less than an electric clothes dryer), but no end flaps to seal eliminates a hot melt glue system, further reducing power use. There’s also less equipment and consumables to purchase, thus contributing to a greener facility and saving you money.
Woodman’s successful Apache bagmaker has been upgraded to feature continuous motion operation. The Apache CM can produce up to 150 bags per minute for a variety of products such as cereals, candy, nuts, crackers, cookies, and powders with a wide package size & format flexibility. The Apache CM is designed for ease of operator use and has a low-profile flex-mount machine frame allowing direct mounting of filling systems including weighers, augers, and volumetric cup fillers.
Kliklok-Woodman is a leading international supplier of packaging machinery to the bakery, snack food, frozen food/ prepared foods, cereal and industries requiring related technologies.
KW supplies vertical form-fill-seal bagmakers and weighers; topload, endload and wraparound cartoners; product handling and indexing machines; and specialized machinery. KW’ s installation base is more than 20,000 machines in operation in more than 80 countries.
