General Get Charged Herbal Tea Gourmet Sea Salt Coarse Grind Organic Black Rice Noodles Sabarot

A recent foray to my local health-food store led to a pleasant discovery of the 250-gram package of King Soba Noodle Culture’s Organic Black Rice Noodles—made in China from special, deep purple-colored rice boasting a distinct nutty flavor and high mineral and nutrient content. As a totally wheat- and gluten-free product, it is perfect for allergy sufferers like myself to cook up a tasty low-calorie side-dish, but what really caught my eye was the ultramodern graphics on the label and the hip color combination’s—making the package almost too attractive to simply store away in the cupboard drawer.

Having given up coffee—something I found to be far easier said than done—I have become truly obsessed with herbal tea in recent months. I just love the idea that herbal tea is in fact a health food, and that all the different combination’s of herbs used to produce different recipes and formulations can help consumers remedy different types of ailments and health problems. For folks at The Republic of Tea in Novato, Ca., this versatility has been a marketing godsend insofar as enabling the company to produce a diverse range of tea-based “treatments” to rectify a whole multitude of minor ills and aches. The bright-colored labels are cleverly used to match the malady of your choice: bright-orange for the Get Charged Herbal Tea for energy; soothing blue for the Get Some Zzz’s bed-time aid; pretty pink for the Get Gorgeous blend, etc. Recently, the company also launched complementary six-pack metal tins that make for a perfect on-the-go addition to my purse, and travel bag. As with the larger-sized canisters, these round beauties provide a perfect after-use storage option for pens, children’s art supplies, seeds and whatever other little tidbits you may fancy.
