The new rum is a darkly vibrant deep amber colour that is well-balanced and light on the nose with notes of dried fruit and delicate smokiness.

Havana Club has introduced its first smoky rum to its range of award-winning premium rums, with Havana Club Smoky. The launch is expected to appeal to rum enthusiasts and whisky drinkers searching for a new and smooth offering that elevates the Cuban rum experience even further.

Havana Club Smoky is expected to be a smooth dark rum part aged in Islay whisky barrels, a distinctive aging process that creates more body, power and complexity in the bottle. The result is an intense, powerful and dark premium rum with a sophisticated smoky flavor.

Cuban Smoky made its Canadian debut this month in Ontario and British Columbia, and will be rolling out in Quebec starting June.

The new rum is a darkly vibrant deep amber colour that is well-balanced and light on the nose with notes of dried fruit and delicate smokiness. But it is distinctive-yet-smooth on the palate, with a smoky flavour that features a gentle sweetness of cocoa and dark chocolate, followed by a lingering dry spiciness. The finish is half dry, balanced and elegant.

Roy Woods, a Canadian singer, rapper, and songwriter, has been named as the official Havana Club brand ambassador in Canada. With rum tied to his Caribbean roots, Roy Woods is bringing all the smoke in the upcoming Cuban Smoky campaign and partnership with Havana Club.

With its distinctive and unique flavour profile, Cuban Smoky is said to be great on its own over a bed of ice, where you can enjoy all the smoky notes in the rum, or to add an unexpected smoky twist to a longer cocktail.

Anyone looking to try the new taste can expect to pay roughly $42.45.
