Kason Corporation’s new dewatering-drying system consists of a circular vibratory screener integrated with a circular fluid bed dryer in an efficient configuration designed to remove oversize and undersize particles, while dewatering and drying the right-sized material, according to the company. The system’s screener—a 30-inch-diameter Vibroscreen model K30-2-SS—is equipped with an imbalanced-weight gyratory motor that vibrates the screening chamber, which is suspended on springs. During operation, oversize particles travel in controlled spiral pathways from the center of the upper screen to a spout at the screen’s periphery to be discharged for reprocessing, while the right-sized pellets fall onto the lower screen travel in controlled spiral pathways to an extended spout at the screen’s periphery that leads to the fluid bed dryer.
MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE
TricorBraun has launched a new range of 16-ounce stock bottles for quick and reliable dispensing of a broad variety of hot-fill, concentrates or ready-to-use products, ranging from tea to all kinds of sauces. Manufactured in any color specified by the customer, the high-density polyethylene bottles—which can also be created with post-consumer resin—come with a standard 38-400 neck finish that enables accept any closure, including a pump dispenser or the company’s own LiquiFlappers closures pictured here.
GET A GRIP
The new Pallet-Grip load locking system from Lantech—developed specifically for upgrading the company’s straddle stretchwrappers—is a patented system that locks a load to a pallet with a cable of film rolled into the bottom wraps and placed below the deck of the pallet. Designed to capture any style of pallet in a wider range of heights—from four- to six-inches-high—while retaining the ability to completely wrap to top of the load, the Pallet-Grip system places a rolled cable of film of approximately 1.5 inches below the pallet deck, with the remainder of the film web used to capture the load above the deck to create an effective and highly reliable pallet containment system, according to the company.
