Environmentally friendly mineral-oil-free inks approved for use in Squid Ink’s CoPilot Max printing system

By Squid Ink Manufacturing, Inc.

March 24, 2020, Brooklyn Park, MN – Squid Ink Manufacturing, Inc., a leading manufacturer of coding and marking systems for product identification and traceability, announces a complete line of Mineral Oil Free (MOF) inks which are now approved for use in Squid Ink’s CoPilot Max hi-resolution printing system.

Squid Ink’s 100% mineral oil free inks are designed as a direct replacement for petroleum-based inks for use on porous substrates. Squid Ink MOF inks are formulated with no hazardous ingredients, zero hazardous air pollutants (HAP), and reduce the risks associated with mineral oil ink contamination in the food packaging industry.

Squid Ink’s environmentally friendly inks are designed to perform at the same high standards as their high quality oil-based inks. MOF inks from Squid Ink result in dark, reliable print for easy-to-read package coding and increased bar code scannability. For manufacturers looking for colors, a variety of colors including black, red, blue, and green are also available.

About CoPilot Max
The CoPilot Max printing system is designed to print superior quality hi-resolution characters on porous or non-porous surfaces. With up to 2.8” of print height per print head and the ability to run up to 2 print heads from one controller, the CoPilot Max offers a versatile, yet cost effective solution for coding and marking applications.

The CoPilot Max utilizes Squid Ink’s revolutionary active ink system, allowing users the ability to raise, lower, tilt, or rotate the print head without making height adjustments to the ink supply. The system prints hi-resolution characters, razor-sharp text, scannable bar codes and great looking logos at 360 dpi, nearly twice the resolution of competitive printers in its class.

Mineral Oil Free inks and the CoPilot Max printing system are available now through Squid Ink’s worldwide network of authorized distributors.  Sales inquiries should be directed to Joshua Nelson, Squid Ink Manufacturing, Inc., 7041 Boone Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, MN  55428.  1-800-877-5658. jnelson@squidink.com
