Form Meets Function in the Premium Spirits Packaging Space
When it comes to choosing a vodka, taste and mouthfeel are crucial components. But before you sip, you see, making the spirit’s bottle a critical piece of the process. The brand team at Aupale Vodka knew that their packaging needed to be as unique as their premium spirit, so they partnered with Studio One Eleven, the design and innovation division of Berlin Packaging, to bring their vision to life.
From the smooth, icy top down to the beautifully organic, bouldered base, the Aupale Vodka bottle is truly a work of art. In order to bring the brand team’s design concept to fruition, Studio One Eleven commissioned an artist to hand-sculpt icy rocks – a nod to the hidden glacier from which Aupale sources its water. The organic, rocky pattern perfectly catches the light to evoke a crisp Canadian winter, and a simple brandmark resides at the base amongst the boulders. The bottle was carefully optimized for manufacturability, ensuring that the impactful design wasn’t hindered by the production process. Once the vodka has been enjoyed, a screw-top closure allows consumers to reuse the breathtaking bottle time and again.
The combination of the stunning bottle and premium product has led to nearly double Aupale’s forecasted sales for Q4 2020, expansion beyond Canada into the US and EU, and fantastic feedback from both the hospitality industry and consumers alike.
