Walter retired from teaching the PAC program in 2010.

It is with a heavy heart, PAC announces the passing of beloved packaging guru, Walter Soroka.

Walter created the PAC Packaging Certificate program in the 1980’s, where hundreds of students graduated under his guidance. He was also the author of renowned packaging textbooks “The Fundamentals of Packaging Technology” and “The Glossary of Packaging Terms“. He was truly the father of packaging education.

Walter retired from teaching the PAC program in 2010.

We thank Walter for his enormous contributions to advancing this ever growing industry, and send our heartfelt condolences to his family.
