Sabri Demirel has just been appointed new Managing Director of Romaco North America. He succeeds Charles Ravalli, who went into retirement in April 2019. Charles Ravalli established Romaco’s East Coast facility in 2014, he can look back on a successful track record over the last five years. Today, Romaco North America employs ten Industry experts serving the American and Canadian markets. In addition to sales, they are responsible for customer service and spare parts business.
Sabri Demirel was born in Southern Germany, where he also attended high school and later did an apprenticeship. He then gained a degree in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Würzburg before embarking on a professional career in the packaging industry in the year 2000. In 2005, he crossed the Atlantic, working for 19 years in total in executive positions in sales and customer service at a leading German manufacturer of packaging technologies.
“We’re delighted to have such an experienced and competent manager as Sabri Demirel on board as successor to Charles Ravalli,” explained Jörg Pieper, CEO Romaco Group. “As a US resident with European roots, he’s the ideal choice to overcome the barriers between the two business worlds and further strengthen Romaco’s presence in North America.” The United States is the world’s biggest pharmaceutical market and also leads the field in terms of the amount invested in research and development. For a specialist engineering firm like Romaco, offering pharmaceutical solids solutions from a single source, that means immense sales potential.
