Monday, April 6, 2020 — Today, Kruger Products, Canada’s leading tissue products manufacturer, is launching a national #RollingItForward program to support Canada’s valiant frontline healthcare workers and Canadians in need. The Company delivered the first in a series of much-needed care packages to frontline healthcare professionals at several hospitals across Montreal this afternoon. Over the next few weeks, Kruger Products will gift Cashmere®, Purex®, SpongeTowels® and Scotties® to frontline healthcare workers at several hospitals in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
Kruger Products is also making a significant tissue product donation to Food Banks Canada, and a financial contribution to support frontline healthcare workers. “There’s never been a more important time in Canadian history to step up and give back,” says Dino Bianco, Chief Executive Officer, Kruger Products. “We are so grateful to the heroic frontline healthcare workers across Canada who are putting their lives on the line to keep our country safe and healthy. While their focus is on healing us, our focus needs to be on supporting them,” he says. “We are also very concerned for the many Canadians in desperate need and are committed to helping Canada’s food banks make a difference.” In the spirit of #RollingItForward, Kruger Products encourages Canadians to likewise support their communities in any way they can.
A third-generation Canadian family business with more than a 100-year history, Kruger Products manufactures tissue products in Canada, by Canadians, for Canadians, with more than 2,000 Canadian employees and manufacturing plants in British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec. Committed to the wellbeing of Canadians, it actively supports many organizations and charities including: the Breast Cancer cause at the Canadian Cancer Society; Gutsy Walk, a fundraiser for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis; Ronald Macdonald House Charities; and the Nature Conservancy of Canada.
Kruger Products is partnering with Mercedes-Benz Canada to deliver much-needed tissue products to healthcare professionals at several hospitals in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. The automaker is providing a fleet of more than 20 Sprinter and Metris Vans to facilitate deliveries.
“Mercedes-Benz Canada and its dealer network are delighted to be partnering with Kruger Products to deliver supplies to these vital front-line workers, doing our part to make their lives easier while they do the hard work of providing critical care to Canadians,” says Brian D. Fulton, President & CEO, Mercedes-Benz Canada. “When we learned Kruger Products had supplies to deliver and a need for distribution, we immediately began working with representatives from our national dealer network to assemble a fleet of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Metris Vans to fill that need. Everyone involved is grateful to have the opportunity to support our communities right now, when it matters most.”
