At Interpack 2023, food-safety custodian Fortress Technology will present to global food processors operating or supplying customers in North America its framework of advanced digital tools, real-time data capture and machinery features engineered to support the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) New Era of Smarter Food Safety rules.
Effective Jan. 20, 2023, the final New Era rule from the FDA rolled out. It requires anyone who manufactures, processes, packs, or holds foods that appear on the agency’s Food Traceability List to implement additional record-keeping requirements.
Fortress recently published its response to these new rules with an informative whitepaper outlining the steps and tools food processors can utilize to create a sturdier, more flexible and safer food supply chain.
