Canadian Packaging purchased by Glacier Media Group.

Wrapped up as a beautiful package, Canadian Packaging magazine, serving the packaging community since 1947, has been purchased by the Business Information Group (BIG), a division of Glacier Media Group.

BIG purchased Canadian Packaging magazine–and the rest of the Industrial Group of trade publications and directories from Rogers Publishing Limited.

Along with Canadian Packaging and its sister French-language edition, Emballages, other magazines and interests in the acquisition include: CanadianManufacturing.com; Canadian Metalworking, Canadian PLANT & PLANT West, Design Engineering, Food in Canada, MM&D, Plastics in Canada, Purchasingb2b, the FRASERS Industrial Directory and a few other interest in other business sectors.

For Canadian Packaging magazine, it can only be considered a positive, as Glacier, headquartered in Vancouver, is one of Canada’s largest publishers of business and trade magazines.

All former properties of Rogers are now located with other BIG magazines, but come October, will be moving into new offices.
