Bubble Wrap and the Curse

By Andrew Joseph, Features Editor

General Bubblewrap Curse New York Yankees Sealed Air

Apparently the ploy has worked, as Jeter has remained out of trainer’s room.  Strangely enough, the cushioning used to protect Jeter, as well as the contents in cartons and envelopes, has not affected his batting average or his defense.
Despite this setback of the curse, I am all for keeping it alive. How the heck does A-Rod (Alex Rodriguez) not make this list? Heck put the whole Yankees team on the cover! Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays, too!
Why am I rooting for the curse? Well, Canadian Packaging magazine is owned by Rogers Communications Inc., who also happen to own the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team. It’s why I am inwardly booing the fan interference of Sealed Air and its Bubble Wrap.
Somewhere bursting bubbles. You’re next Jeter.
