Bosch Rexroth hosted a Sod Turning event on 30th of September, 2021 in their Welland facility in the presence of their Canadian and U.S. Senior leadership, M.P. Vance Badawey, and the Mayor of the City of Welland, Mr. Frank Campion.

The event occurred outside, and a small amount of people participated in the event. VIPs and Senior Leadership painted/graffitied a concrete wall that will be destroyed to make place for our expansion project. VIPs and Senior Leadership, after doodling on the wall, signed the official sledgehammer that will be kept as memorabilia with pieces of the painted wall to commemorate this new Bosch Rexroth historical milestone.

“We’re making a significant investment here, and we’re holding out lots of hope and confidence that the organization will continue to strive and rise to the challenges that we’ve put in front of them,” said Greg Gumbs, the senior vice present of sales for Bosch Rexroth North America.

“You are a company that we all respect,” said Badawey, “and you’re a company that’s going to ensure that the development of the economy here in this region continues on long into the future.”

“I’m very pleased to be here to take part in this historic event,” said Campion. “And again it’s very meaningful in the sense that we have a great relationship with you folks, and we’re going to continue that relationship, and as you’re going through this project I’m here for you anytime you need anything, or city staff is here for you, and certainly our community’s behind you.”
