Akro-Mils Names New GM

Akro-Mils, a North American leader in storage, organization and transport products located in Akron, OH, has announced Jeff Gervais as its new general manager.

In this new position, Gervais assumes all operational responsibility for Akro-Mils, a designer and manufacturer of a wide range of plastic storage bins and containers, metal shelving systems and mobile material handling systems sold through industrial and commercial distributors nationwide. Akro-Mils is part of the Material Handling Group of Myers Industries, Inc., which also includes Buckhorn – a leading manufacturer of reusable plastic material handling containers and pallets. Joel Grant continues to serve as managing
director of the Material Handling Group.

Prior to joining Akro-Mils, Gervais worked at the group’s Cincinnati-based Buckhorn offices and served as the director of finance and MIS for the Material Handling Group responsible for managing all financial and IT personnel, overseeing financial and IT requirements for the functional departments within the Material Handling Group, and compiling and analyzing various financial reporting and production reports as needed.
