WILMINGTON, Del.—The Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (TLMI) recently announced the winners of its 37th annual label awards competition at its 2014 Annual Meeting in Dana Point, Calif.
The DuPont Cyrel flexographic printing system was the image carrier of choice for Best of Show, Best of Class and many First Place competition award winners who value the quality, productivity and sustainability benefits Cyrel brings to tag and label printers.

TVC Label in Lewisville, Tex., earned a Best of Class award for the Goliad Brewing Co. Redfish IPA label and gathered a total of three First Place awards. “We always assure our award submissions represent our high standards that start with good art and plates,” said Jay Fair, TVC Label, vice president of production. “We celebrate this success and are very pleased to see our label, printed with DuPont Cyrel FAST flexographic plates , honored with this prestigious award.”
McDowell Label and Screen Printing in Plano, Tex., gained 11 First Place and five Second Place awards in various categories. “McDowell Label has fostered a culture of award winning printing such that every job is treated as a potential Best of Show winner. Our Team is proud of its many awards and recognitions and strives to bring a winning spirit to every customer and to every job. Art Yerecic, president and CEO of Yerecic Label in New Kensington, Pa., was honored by being named the 2014 TLMI Converter of the Year. Yerecic Label, a participant in the DuPont TR3 Recycling Program, also won the TLMI 2014 Environmental Leadership Award.
