The Future Of Coding And Marking

By MapleJet Co.

The new Hx Nitro thermal inkjet (TIJ) printer from MapleJet Co. features next generation print cartridge technology that delivers unparalleled performance in traditionally challenging applications for thermal ink jet technology. The print cartridge, along with the true non-porous eUrex ink, provides 10 mm throw distance, incredibly fast dry times on a wide range of non-porous substrates, and over 48 hours of decap time, as well as excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, at linear print speeds up to 374 feet/minute. With this advanced cartridge technology, Hx Nitro can print high resolution date codes and batch numbers onto angled or concave surfaces, such as the bottom of cans, shoulders of bottles, and other products that require greater throw distance to reach the substrate.

Additionally, the Hx Nitro simplifies message input by using WiFi to create and send messages to the printer wirelessly. Any WiFi-enabled device, including smartphones and tablets, can be used to control Hx Nitro. The Hx Nitro’s field upgrade function enables the customer to perform software upgrades remotely, even from the production line, eliminating the need for costly service calls. In addition to eUrex ink, there are a number of porous and non-porous inks, in a variety of colors, that deliver high quality, highly legible codes and marks on a broad range of materials, including plastic films, metal, PVC, aluminum, glass, coated stock, and corrugated cartons.
