Domino will be exhibiting its digital printing solutions at Labelexpo Americas 2014, September 9-11, 2014 in Rosemont, IL.

Domino, at booth #6523, will debut its brand new:

  • N610i 7-color CMYKOV+W digital UV inkjet label press (see image above);
  • N610i CMYK+W digital UV inkjet label press;
  • K600i monochrome digital UV inkjet printer.

One of the N610i presses will be printing with inline finishing and the other will be printing roll-to-roll.

With 600 x 600 dpi (dots per inch) native print resolution, operating speeds up to 75meters per minute (246 feet per minute) and up to seven colors including opaque white, the N610i combines the productivity associated with flexo, with the flexibility offered by rapid job change digital technology.

Additional benefits include less labor and material waste, long-lasting print durability and lightfastness, and the capability to print on a wide range of substrates.

The single color K600i print solution is designed to integrate digital variable data 600-dpi print within existing sheet, web-fed presses and finishing lines.

Key to its appeal is its ability to accommodate different print widths ranging from 108-mm (4.26″) to 558-mm (21.97″). This scalability is achieved by mounting a series of stitched print heads across a bar to cover the full width of the press or finishing line.

Both the N610i and K600i benefit from the inclusion of Domino’s unique i-Tech intelligent Technology productivity-enhancing smart features designed to optimize printer performance and maintain the highest levels of productivity.

Domino will be participating in the Inkjet Trail; a head-to-head comparison with four other ink jet press suppliers demonstrating their printing technology and print quality in producing designated food, personal care, and industrial labels.

All ink jet press participants will be using the same provided artwork and substrate materials.

Domino will be providing attendees to their stand with a “Label Sample Book” containing the Domino printed Inkjet Trail labels, along with key information such as the time to print 1,000 and 10,000 of each of those labels.

Philip Easton, director of Domino’s Digital Printing Solutions Division, says: “Label printers visiting the show should not miss the opportunity to see first-hand how our latest generation N610i label press will allow them to exploit new applications and improve profitability through sales growth, while at the same time reducing their overall production costs.

“Following the device’s successful launch at Labelexpo Europe in 2013, we have worked closely with our customers and the market to identify features that could strengthen the N610i’s capabilities and have responded accordingly. The options for the chilled roller and integrated finishing line enhance the machine’s already impressive performance levels, helping customers to boost margins, reduce lead times and become even more profitable.”

In addition to the Inkjet Trail, Domino will also provide demonstrations on its new N610i 7-color CMYKOV+W, as well as presentations on printing upon various substrates, with a different material highlighted on each day of Labelexpo 2014.
