Pallet manufacturer and supplier honored as one of Store Brands’ 2015 Supplier Pacesetters.

ATLANTA—CHEP, a global leader in supply chain management solutions, received one of Store Brands magazine’s annual Retail Supplier Pacesetter Awards, which honors store brand suppliers for outstanding achievements in nine different categories.

CHEP was the 2015 honoree in the Logistics/Supply Chain Optimization category, selected specifically for the positive impact their recently launched supply chain solutions portfolio is having across the industry.

“Logistics and supply chain optimization brings tremendous benefits to retailers,” says Store Brands magazine editorial director Kathie Canning. “The positive impact it can have is truly profound. CHEP continues to offer solutions that support growth in our industry while concurrently lowering operating costs, increasing productivity and improving the way products move to the consumer.”

The supply chain solutions and services offered by CHEP address specific challenges facing the extended retail supply chain, including product damage, unit load stability, empty trailer miles and transportation performance. This also includes logistics supply chain platforms, distribution, international trade, manufacturing, warehousing, harvesting, processing, sustainability and supplier diversity.

CHEP partners are already seeing the benefits of CHEP’s solutions. For example, a major retailer generated $2.5 million in incremental revenue as a result of eliminating almost one million empty trailer miles.

Other examples include, CHEP helping three grocery retailers reduce product damage at their distribution centers and save nearly $300,000 each.

“The CHEP team is always grateful to be recognized by outstanding industry leaders such as Store Brands. We continuously collaborate with our customers to create value for them. Our experience and supply chain expertise allow us to deliver meaningful end-to-end supply solutions tailored to meet our customers’ needs,” says CHEO vice-president of retail supply chain solutions Vishal Patell.
