Canadian Iceberg Vodka names new president and CEO

The Canadian Iceberg Vodka Corporation today announced the appointment of David Meyers to the position of president and chief executive officer.
Reporting to the Board of Directors chaired by Michael Hribar, Meyers will be responsible for the growth and management of the privately held Canadian Iceberg Vodka Corporation.
Meyers, a seasoned professional, has spent over 20 years in the spirits industry and has extensive international leadership experience. His experience outside of Canada includes 10 years with the Remy Cointreau Group initially as managing director for Mount Gay Distilleries in Barbados, and subsequently in New York as president and chief executive officer of Remy’s US distribution company.
He also spent time in London at Moet Hennessy UK, a division of the LVMH Group, where he served as managing director responsible for such world class brands as Belvedere, Glenmorangie and Dom Perignon.
For the past several years, Meyers has been living back in his home country of Canada, where he has been consulting in spirits and other industries internationally.
Says Hribar of Meyers: “We are delighted that David has decided to lead our company. After having completed several consulting projects for Iceberg Vodka, the board agreed that Meyers has the vision, extensive experience and track record to significantly develop the Iceberg brand.”
Meyers affirmed that, “After many years in this industry, as a Canadian, I am very happy to be leading my first Canadian spirits brand. Our goal is to double the sales of Iceberg Vodka over the medium term. We’ll be working to rejuvenate the sales in Canada and to drive significant growth in the US. I look forward to working with all our agents, distributors and everyone on the CIVC team to build the Iceberg Vodka brand.”
