“Our simulation tool matches performance with customer expectations.”

Take a tour of the Sidel Canada conveyor-manufacturing and engineering-services facility located just outside of Montreal.

Business Development Director Mike De Cotiis explains the proprietary design and engineering tools, such as Evo-ON, that improve conveyor-component operation life up to 30 per cent and line efficiencies by 20 per cent.

“We respond to Industry 4.0 and A.I. on the digital side with virtual assistance. With our simulation tool called PACSI, we insert the customer’s performance parameters and build a model for the line. We run multiple iterations of these simulations that allow an overall performance that we can commit to. Our 3D Design Simulation program allows us to be foolproof.

“Our customers love this,” maintains De Cotiis.

Director of Communications Claudia De La Vega adds, “We develop our solutions to be in line with the latest sustainability requirements of our customers, in terms of thinner plastics and very light bottle pre-forms. Sidel has achieved a 75 per cent reduction in scopes 1, 2 and 3 emissions as of 2023, and we are aiming for zero greenhouse-gas emissions by 2050.”
