Reiser is helping MiMi Food Products to transform its business from wholesale to retail

Listen to Mike Primucci, President and CEO of MiMi Food Products, talk about how he is transitioning his pizza-dough business to retail with his new Reiser Variovac Optimus thermoform packaging machine.

“Our products are special and are created by us,” says Mike. “We want customers to see the quality that imported flours and 24-hour fermented dough delivers.” He maintains, “People don’t want to be fooled by fancy photos on a box, only to be disappointed when they unpack the product.

“That’s why we chose Reiser. They know what they are talking about, their machinery does what they say it will do… and they are lovely to deal with.”

Executive Vice President Raj Sharma operates the Variovac in the video and demonstrates how easy it is to shift from three Panuzzo buns to six by “just adjusting the depth.”

Raj explains how they operate the thermoformer for both vacuum- and modified-atmosphere packaging formats to “dramatically increase the shelf life from frozen to ambient.

“I like both the flexibility of the machine and the quality of the package it produces,” he affirms.

Reiser’s Jeff Kennedy adds, “We’ve learned a lot from Mike. He wanted us to help him make his product pop on the retail shelf, so he could grow his business.”
