Elvis Langevin and Audrey Martel of Imperial Snacking discuss why it was so important to upgrade their bagging and scales system to match their new eye-catching multi-laminate bags for their French Can Can large format popcorn packages that are flying off the shelves at major big box retailers like Costco.

Insiders in the industry recommended WeighPack/Paxiom for the job, and Elvis describes the Primo 360 weigh scales and Xpdius servo-driven vertical bagger as the “efficient and fast” solution with “no problems.”

Plant Director Robert Sylvestre adds, “Our previous scales were giving away 30-40 grams of product per package. Cost-wise the Primo 360 multi-scale system with 14 buckets adjusted for accuracy and speed is the best solution.”

Sylvestre claims that the Xpdius bagger provides “very efficient vertical and horizontal seals at speeds of 10-20 bags per minute.” The Primo 360 scales with built-in camera assist and the bagging system offers extremely user-friendly recipe storage and retrieval.

Elvis concludes, “We want to fill up our 80,000 square foot facility, and we are happy to work with WeighPack/Paxiom to accomplish our production goals.”
