Organized by tradeshow specialists UBM Canon, the PACKEX Toronto 2013, the 36th edition of Canada’s longest-running national packaging exhibition was held at the Toronto Congress Centre on May 14-16, 2013—and it was a well-attended success.
Featuring hundreds of top suppliers from Canada, the U.S. and beyond, visitors to the showcase saw the newest packaging products, equipment and services available first-hand while meeting a plethora of suppliers looking to provide solutions to innovate packaging, streamline processes, and build networks and your business.
PACKEX Toronto also held various informative seminars, but, the big one was held on May 15—the PAC NEXT Packaging Optimization Summit, which featured North American retail and CPG thought-leaders identifying critical issues and sharing best practice solutions for the optimization of packaging across the supply chain. Canadian Packaging magazine will have a detailed article on the Summit in its upcoming June 2013 issue.
The PACKEX Toronto was once again co-located with other tradeshows: PLAST-EX, Automation Technology Expo Canada (ATX Canada), Design & Manufacturing Canada, and PTX Canada|Powder & Bulk Solids Canada.
The well-visited show also boasted a large pavilion sponsored by PAC–The Packaging Association who showed off the packaging entrants and award winner into its 2013 PAC Leadership Awards.
As usual, Canadian Packaging magazine was a sponsor of PACKEX Toronto, and sent out its crew to take photographs of some of the exhibitors. It was such a busy show, that it was often difficult to get photos of the exhibitors, so Canadian Packaging decided to take photos of the action around the booth spaces.
