At the FTA INFO*FLEX Exhibition held in Las Vegas last month, The Bobst Group unveiled the N.A. debut of the FISCHER & KRECKE new FP 15-S flexo press as the first of a new series of compact CI flexo solutions, designed to meet the requirements of flexible packaging printing.
The new addition to the FLEXPRESS family, featuring print widths of 1250 mm, repeat lengths up to 880 mm and covering a very wide range of applications, impressed visitors with its innovative machine concept, ensuring easy handling and fast change-overs, thereby meeting the ongoing demand for shorter print runs.
The new model is available with smartGPS technology that will produce perfect saleable print quality. The technology recently won the prestigious USA FTA Innovation Award of 2010.
The ‘face-to-face’ winders configuration considerably reduces the footprint of the machine, facilitates the reel handling as it is done from one position only for both unwinder and rewinder, clearly separates the CI and winding sections and enables rapid access to both sections from the centralized input station located between the winders and the CI.
