DuraFast Label now offering Afinia L801 label printer to N.A. markets

Toronto—DuraFast Label Company is now selling the digital high-speed Afinia L801 color label printer to customers in Canada and the U.S.
According to company president Basat Khalifa, “This color label printer allows businesses to print full color labels at unprecedented speeds, and it has the industry’s lowest cost for printing your own labels.”
The Afinia L801 label printer, powered by Memjet technology, is a cutting-edge competitor to traditional inkjet label printers like the Primera LX900, VIPColor VP485, and QuickLabel Kiaro!, with the manufacturer calling the Afinia L801 the fastest printer on the market—at speeds of up to 60 feet per minute (12ips), printing 1,600 dpi labels that are up to eight-inches wide. It also has the lowest ink cost in the industry.
“Speed and ink cost are the two most important features when looking for a label printer,” Khalifa says. “Slow speeds and high ink costs combine to add hidden costs to in-house label production. In contrast, high speeds and low ink costs reduce production delays and costs.”
With a wide, fixed printhead, Memjet printers are dramatically faster than inkjet printheads which must be moved back and forth across the substrate. Not only are print speeds much up to eight times faster as a result, Memjet-powered printers shoot millions of drops of ink per second. They’re faster, precise, energy efficient, and economical.
“Our customers appreciate being able to print wine labels, coffee and tea labels, cosmetic labels, prepared food labels, carton labels, tags, and other custom labels at speeds of up to 60 feet per minute,” Khalifa states. “With large label rolls and the high capacity ink tanks that this color label printer has, our customers simply set up the print job and let it run. Depending on the label size, the L801 can print over 6,000 labels per hour at 1,600 dpi print resolution.”
Khalifa explains that adding the Afinia L801 to DuraFast’s product lineup was an obvious choice for the company.
