Automation Flexibles Celplast PET films Ultramet

New PET film perfect of adhesive laminations.

Toronto—Celplast Metallized Products has released its new ULTRAMET family of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) films for adhesive lamination applications that require good barrier and very high bond strengths.

According to Celplast, ULTRAMET provides >1000 g/in bond in a benchtop EAA/metallized film thermal lamination, and > 500 g/in in a PET/met PET benchtop solvent-based adhesive lamination.

ULTRAMET WR (pictured) provides the same bonding levels and is water resistant, allowing converters to use metallized film in shower and bath applications or for supply chains in hot, humid environments.

ULTRAMET WR-ET provides high bonds and water resistance as well as easy tear properties, satisfying the growing need for easy-open pouches for aging populations globally.

The ULTRAMET HB combines high bond strengths with high barrier properties (0.03 g/100 in2/day WVTR, 0.04 cc/100 in2/day OTR).

Celplast Metallized Products is a leading supplier of metallized and clear high barrier films to the North American converting industry, and offers contract barrier and metal adhesion testing in its state-of-the-art research and development lab.
