The BEUMER Group, based in Beckum, Germany with its U.S. headquarters in Branchburg, NJ and known as the BEUMER Corporation, has released its new stretch hood i, an end-of-line pallet packaging solution to protect and secure palletized loads.
The new stretch hood i, offers customers a variety of benefits, including an improved price-to-performance ratio. Developed for a North American performance specification, the new stretch hood i can be easily adapted to meet the requirements of other regions around the world.
As the latest addition to BEUMER’s end-of-line packaging solutions, customers will benefit from the hood i‘s improved human-machine-interface (HMI) which provides intuitive menu guidance and system controls for reduced training expenditure and improved working conditions, as well as a decentralized, intelligent drive platform that decrease energy expenditures by up to 12.5 per cent.
Other key features include improved system flexibility to accommodate a wider range of pallet formats and sizes, and smaller system footprint and lower installation height.
Additionally, the environmental impact is reduced as less film is required and compressed-air consumption is reduced by 53 per cent. The new stretch hood i design also provides for smoother conveying by eliminating lift tables, even at low system heights.
In addition to the new stretch hood i, BEUMER offers a complete line of automatic palletizing and packaging systems, including it’s newly released robotpac and paletpac systems.

The fully automatic BEUMER robotpac solves complex palletizing and de-palletizing challenges, reliably and efficiently. Containers such as bags, cardboard boxes, crates, canisters or trays can be stacked stably and efficiently.

The paletpac series includes a fully automatic high-level palletizing system that palletizes bulk material filled in bags. The geometric accuracy and stability of the stacked pallets enables trouble-free storage and ensures safe integration with downstream packaging systems.
